At AVC Poodles, our puppies are raised as family from day one. As a small, home-based breeding program in California, we focus on producing healthy, well-socialized Toy Poodles and small Miniature Poodles with exceptional temperaments.
Our puppies are raised inside our home alongside children, cats, and other dogs, giving them a strong foundation before joining their forever families. We prioritize health, temperament, and early socialization, with all parent dogs undergoing comprehensive health and DNA testing.

Understanding poodle sizes
Toy & Small Miniature Poodles
At AVC Poodles, our program includes both Toy Poodles and small Miniature Poodles. While each puppy is unique, poodles are classified by their height rather than their weight.
Toy Poodles: Under 10 inches tall at the shoulder and typically 6–10 pounds.
Small Miniature Poodles: Over 10 inches and up to 15 inches tall at the shoulder, typically 10–15 pounds.
Adult size can vary depending on genetics and each puppy’s individual development. While we provide our best estimate, no breeder can guarantee an exact adult size.

Our poodle family
Meet Lucas
Lucas is the proud sire of our program and a beautiful black Poodle with an exceptional temperament. He is calm, affectionate, intelligent, and incredibly easygoing, making him a wonderful companion and an excellent representative of the qualities we strive to produce.
Lucas falls between the traditional Toy and Miniature size ranges. While Toy Poodles are under 10 inches tall and Miniature Poodles are over 10 inches tall, Lucas is a small, compact poodle that carries traits of both sizes. This allows him to produce puppies that may mature in either the Toy or small Miniature range, depending on the genetics inherited from each parent.
Beyond his size, what truly makes Lucas special is his gentle nature. He loves people, gets along well with other animals, and consistently passes on his sweet temperament, intelligence, and confidence to his puppies.
Lucas has completed comprehensive DNA and health testing, and we are proud to have him as the foundation sire of our AVC Poodles program.
Our poodle family
Meet Romina
Romina is the heart of AVC Poodles and the foundation dam of our breeding program. Her intelligence, loving personality, and gentle nature are what inspired our journey into responsible breeding.
Romina is a true Toy Poodle, standing under 10 inches tall at the shoulder and weighing approximately 8 pounds. She embodies everything we love about the Toy Poodle breed intelligence, loyalty, affection, and a strong desire to be close to her family.
She is a beautiful apricot-red Toy Poodle with a sweet, confident temperament and an exceptional ability to connect with people. Romina is patient, eager to please, and passes on her loving nature, intelligence, and adaptability to her puppies.
Romina has completed comprehensive DNA and health testing, and we are proud to continue her legacy through carefully planned litters. Her puppies are raised in our home with the same love, care, and attention that she gives them from the very beginning.
